Abstract
Background: Trauma is stressful event that a person avoids directly re-experiencing it or the stimuli related to the event. These traumatic events have a wide range. Such trauma can be caused by an epidemic such as Covid-19. One of the key concerns related to the cognitive complications of trauma and acute covid-19 is related to cognitive functions, which are important to investigate.
Methods: The subjects of this research were selected from teenagers aged 12 to 20 years old using available sampling method. This research was of causal-comparative type with a sample size of 60 people. 30 teenagers who were traumatized after divorce or the death of one of their parents and 30 teenagers who were infected with acute covid-19 and were hospitalized and in now they had recovered. Independent t-test and multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) were used in this research.
Results: The subjects of this research were selected from teenagers aged 12 to 19 years old using available sampling method. This research was of causal-comparative type with a sample size of 120 people. 60 adolescents who were traumatized after divorce or the death of one of their parents and 60 adolescents who have recovered from acute covid-19. Independent t-test and multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) were used in this research.
