Data analytics was done by using the multivariable analyze of covariance test (MANCOVA) with SPSS statistics22. the results of the analysis of covariance indicated that the self-compassion-based treatment led to a reduction in mean scores for cognitive distortions (F=42.74, p<0.001) and an increase in parent-child relationship scores (F=43.77, p<0.001) in the experimental group. The present research results indicated that this interventional method was useful to the cognitive distortions and parent child relationships in teenagers with addiction to virtual social networks, as a result, the psychotherapists and counselors can use the present research findings in line with clinical interventions.
